Raspberries

We currently grow two varieties of Red Raspberries, as well as a small amount of black raspberries.

The red raspberries
we grow are:

  • Nova - This is a "summer fruiting" red raspberry with fruiting on second year canes that takes place in early/mid July. Often a second fruiting will occur on the first year growth of some plants in early Fall. Fruit is plump, bright red and firm to the touch... works great for fresh eating or in jams and other baked goods.
  • Autumn Bliss - This is our "late fruiting" red raspberry with fruit appearing in late summer around early/mid August.  Fruit is large and dark red in color with a mild, melt-in-your-mouth flavor. A large portion of the plant's yield (up to 50%) occurs within the first two weeks of fruiting and then continues to taper through a hard frost. This berry is softer with fewer seeds than the Nova, which lends itself to a favorite of jam makers.
